If AKC registration papers are not available at time of the purchase, they shall be mailed to the buyer as soon as the seller receives the paper registration from AKC (approx. 12 weeks)
SHOW /LIMITED AKC: This puppy is being sold with LIMITED registration only. It is understood to the buyer that this pup will have the proper AKC registration number/papers, however, s/he WILL NOT have breeding rights. Therefore, this puppy will be NOT be authorized to register any of its future heirs unless agreed upon in writing and certified (in advance) by the seller, and we require that the pups be spayed or neutered before the age of one. Spay/neuter contract is required -without exception.
RIGHT TO FIRST REFUSAL: The buyer agrees to not place this animal in an animal shelter, animal rescue, and agrees to NOT using this animal for testing in animal research in any way. If the buyer chooses to relinquish this pup, at any time, the seller has right of first refusal.
NOTE TO BUYER of GOOD FAITH: All canines have the potential for genetic or congenital diseases, especially the larger breed dogs. And, due to the nature of the particular condition, unfortunately, it cannot always be eliminated. It is the job of the breeder, through selective breeding, to make every effort to minimize (not eliminate) these conditions -- in good faith. Due to the predisposition of certain structural conditions to this breed of dog, we CHOOSES to replace our pups if the circumstances arises.
Please read, to your full understanding, the following sections of this contract concerning any contagious or hereditary defects.
CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS: To the best of the seller's knowledge, this dog has no known diseases or illnesses that would adversely affect this dog's health. The buyer has 72 hours to bring this pup to a licensed veterinarian for well check up and shots needed. This dog is guaranteed to be free of contagious health conditions for 10-days, from the date of this sale. In order for this guarantee to be valid, this pup must be examined by vet within 72 hours of possession.
The seller assumes NO responsibility or liability for any incurred vet bills, under any circumstances. If this pup is found to be contagiously or through heredity ill, then a letter from a licence vet stating so must be presented to the seller within the 10-day period. If the case of illness or health condition does arise, the puppy will be returned to seller within the 10-day period and a refund for the sale price for the pup would be given to the buyer at that time, thus ending this contract. This refund does NOT include any expenses incurred to buyer by the buyer's veterinarian, legal fee, or etc.
HIPS AND EYES: We chose to guarantee your pup for one (1) year against any hip, elbow, or cataract condition. The seller reserves the right to a second opinion of seller's choice. If this dog should exhibit these conditions (disqualifying eye conditions, or moderate dysplasia or greater) prior to his or her first birth year date, the buyer is entitled to a replacement pup of equal value, following the return of this pup to the seller. Under no circumstances is the seller to be liable for any veterinarian or other expenses incurred by the buyer.
VOIDING OF CONTRACT will occur if....
1] ... if the buyer allows this dog to become obese, at any time. Recent research contends that obesity can greatly contribute, if not the causer, of hip and joint problems in large breed dogs. Although these disorders tend to be hereditary: poor diet, over feeding, or improper exercising of a pup is a known contributor to these disorders.
2] ...if there are any signs of neglect or abuse to this dog.
3] ...if injuries occurred while under care of new owner (seller), such as broken bone, trauma, etc.
4] ...if the buyer does not follow through with shot requirements/regime and vet visits in timely fashion.
5] ...if the buyer does not feed this dog premium quality dog food. Low-quality dog food is a sure way to malnourish or injure any puppy. While s/he may appear to be at his or her appropriate weight:age, low-quality dog foods fail to supply the necessary proteins and nutrients required for proper growth of a puppy or dog. This seller strongly urges the buyer to feed this dog Life's Abundance or Flint River Ranch Dog Food.
* There are only a few brands (9) we can recommend as most dog foods are by-products of other animal and euthanized remains. Life's Abundance and Flint River Ranch, however, are of human grade and excellent choices of pet food. If you choose a different pet food, please clear this with this breeder prior to taking pups home. In addition to food requirements, we require that all of our pups receive a vitamin/supplement for the first year of growth. This helps the pups with proper development of skin, coat, and bones. AND, it helps reduce cancer susceptibility and premature aging. We refer our pup clients only to NuVet for supplements as they are a complete supplement. By ordering thru this link given, we are able to track the pups' supplement dispensing in order to validate the health warrantee. If you do not chose to supplement with NuVet, other brands may be cleared prior to taking pups home.
6] ... if there is any evidence of serious exercising such as tread mill or track running. While the seller DOES want this dog to play SENSIBLY, it is required to be in reasonable manner, as not to do serious damage to joints and bones through excessive exercise.
7] Table scraps are greatly appreciated by your pup BUT are NOT appropriate, encouraged, nor permitted for this animal because of overloading fat. But a home cooked meal of chicken rice and certain veggies is recommended.
8] Puppies -until 20 weeks should be allowed to eat everything (dog food) that they can eat within 20 minutes, three times a day.
AGREEMENT BETWEEN PARTIES: All parties agree by signature to follow the above terms of this agreement. This contract contains the entire agreement between parties. Any changes to this contract must be binding through signature only, and not on verbal agreement. Verbal changes will NOT be considered legal or binding to this buyer or seller. NO legal fees shall be incurred to the seller or the buyer, other than those already listed or stated in this contract.
