Hi Melinda,
I wanted to write and give you a brief update about Fezzik. He is doing
well and loves to play in the snow. He also loves playing fetch and is
learning to catch tennis balls mid-air. He is very gentle with our
daughter, and is a wonderful dog- thank you so much. I'll send a pic
later from my phone.
Best,
Laurie

Hi Melinda,
Wilson is thriving! We had a good night, only a few wake ups. I honestly think he has grown since he got here! We have been on short walks and he has found his pooing and peeing spot in yard. He really is so smart! We are all in love!
Thanks so much for this wonderful dog!!!!

Hi Melinda,
A few blurbs about Sophie and our experience with Step N Stone Farm!
We brought home our beautiful golden doodle back in October of 2009. I have to say that our experience in purchasing our puppy from Step n Stone Farm was wonderful. Melinda is a very caring and knowledgeable breeder. We were quite nervous about getting a puppy since we were new to the whole process and Melinda just walked us through everything! She also gave us some much welcomed advice on feeding and training, etc. Sophie has become such a wonderful family pet! She is lovable, playful, and very intelligent! She loves taking a run with our daughter, going on walks with my husband and I, playing ball in the yard, and of course she loves her treats! We can't imagine not having her around! We are looking forward to taking her to the beach soon and coming to watch our son's baseball games! We get many compliments on what a beautiful and well behaved dog she is! I would highly recommend, with no reservations whatsoever, purchasing a puppy from Step N Stone Farm!

Finn is our absolutely adorable Goldendoodle born January 2010! I couldn't agree more with the previous testimonial from Sofie's owner. We are so appreciative for all the love given to our pup from day one, Melinda and her family are amazing. Having four young kids of our own, we found it comforting that Finn was accustumed to Melinda's children, and found the transition to our active home smoothe! Finn loves to be around people and loves children, we call him our real life teddy bear!! He is so smart, was really easy to train and has really opened our hearts. He goes everywhere with us, hiking, swimming, kids baseball and soccer games, where we go, he goes! It is remarkable how many compliments we get on not only his looks but his good temperment. I can honestly say, he has never growled at any of us, he's so easy going, yet playful! Finn is my first dog since childhood, so I was a bit nervous. Melinda was so understanding and answered all of my questions and she was incredibly patient with me when I was having a difficult time choosing the "right" puppy! I couldn't be happier with my choice, he's part of our family! Best of luck with your puppy, you are making the right choice!!

Hi Melinda,
We finally settled on a name for our new pup, Fezzik (he's a character
from the Princess Bride). HE is settling in great. He was initially very
afraid of our cat and the stairs, but he is getting used to them. We went
to the vet yesterday and he had his rabies shot. The vet said that he
looks great!
He hasn't been eating much. He didn't want to eat much yesterday or this
morning, but he did eat all of his dinner tonight. He is very smart and
already can sit (I'm not sure if you had worked on this before we brought
him home or if he is just very smart).
I just wanted to send a quick update and let you know he seems really
happy so far. He is sleeping in our bedroom on a blanket on the floor and
hasn't had any accidents inside.
He's a great pup!
Best,
Laurie
Hello Melinda,
I've attached a photo of Fezzik with his favorite toy. He is settling
well and isn't afraid of the stairs or the cat anymore. He's only had a couple of
accidents in the house, but is doing well overall. We got to take him
hiking last weekend, and he loved it! He also loves playing fetch and we
are working on teaching him how to heel.
I hope all is going well on the farm!
Best,
Laurie

Hi Melinda--
Just wanted to let you know that Sunny checked out just fine at the vet on Wednesday. No worms, so that was great news too. We also got her microchipped, and I'll forward her number to you. I think her records are out in the car, but I'll get it to you tomorrow.
In other news, Sunny continues to be one awesome dog. In fact, we've named her, "Sunny, The Wonder Dog!" She is so playful and curious, but she is also so sweet and calm. She is also doing so well with potty training. My neighbors are in awe (and so are we). She also loves her vitamins and seems to have learned to "sit." She really is amazing.
I hope you and your family and dogs and puppies are all doing well.
Best wishes--
Cathy McSwain
Hi Melinda--
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write back. Sunny is still a wonderful dog. I have no idea how you take care of 3 children, a home, home school, and all of those puppies and dogs.
Just wanted to follow-up on some things. Yes, we got Sunny's micro-chipped registered. Also, she is on HeartGuard for heart worm preventative, and she has had her first dose of Frontline.
As far as training, she continues to show amazing intellect and self-control. We went to Petco this weekend in search of chew toys and chew objects. We found a beef bully braided muscle strip, which she really chews on. She also has lots of toys(Kong, plush, etc) but she doesn't chew them. I've also been taking her on short walks several times a day (she does great on a leash) and trying to give her lots of time on her 60 feet leash so she can enjoy being outside and exploring (we live next to a big grassy area). After she gets her rabies shot, I may look into a puppy playtime at Petco or maybe with a neighbor dog. Any thoughts on this?
As far as eating, she is eating and growing. She loves her Life's Abundance food so much. In fact, she stopping chewing it last week. She just inhaled it. She also loves her Nu-Vet plus.
As far as potty training, the whole family has been awesome, and Sunny is doing really well. Only 3 accidents (pee, no poopy accidents--Yay!) in 3 1/2 weeks, and that was our fault. She was giving signals, but we forgot to watch her. Now she goes to the door and barks, and she is very regular. Not having a fence means we always go out with her and always watch so we know what she has done. Probably makes potty training much easier.
And I think I already told you, but everyone that meets Sunny adores her. She really is a beautiful little dog. She took a nap on me this weekend, and it was just the best! Did I tell you that she also loves music? We play the piano and guitar, and she just curls up and listens to it. When we can't play for her, we play soothing piano or guitar music, and she just relaxes. I even sang her to sleep the other night. 5 verses of In Flander's Field, and she was out for the night. Such a sweet little puppy.
I hope all are doing well too.
:)

Hi there,
My condolences on losing Shady...he was such a gorgeous dog. My little Piper is one of Shady's offspring with Sue McVey's Madison. She's such a love and I'm so happy to have her. I was just visiting your site to see if she looks a lot like Shady and I saw your sad news, just wanted to tell you I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Riley McLean
ps- I attached a picture of Piper, age 11 mo.

Our girl is beautiful. I think I got the top pick of the litter myself. Her fur is like satin/silk. It's so soft. I'll send you out more pictures later on. I was surprised when I heard you were breeding goldendoodles. If feel more and more people are really looking for purebred goldens. They have the best reputation. I hope to get out there sometime during the summer months. I will absolutely call you before we think of coming for a visit. Take care.

Congrats on the new puppies!
Charlie is just the perfect addition to our family! He has such a sweet temperament, is so smart and eager to please. He's great with our 3 children and makes new friends everywhere we go.
And if you ever are asked for references, we would be more than happy to speak to anyone :-)
Here are pictures I took earlier this week. Thanks again for our wonderful Charlie-doodle :-)
God Bless,

Hi Melinda-
Otis is doing fine. I'm sending you a photo of him taken in May. He has grown from 10 lbs when we got him to 33 lbs now at 4 months old.
He's a good dog and the girls really love him! He gets to play with the dog next door quite a lot.
